  • A very soft (and special) novelty has arrived at the store: meet Iaque!

Did you know that one of the softest fibers in the world comes from the Himalayas?

Today I want to tell you about one of the new products that I am most excited to add to the store: Iaque , a yarn from the Eco-Friendly Collection line by Rosários 4 , composed of 89% organic wool and 11% yak fiber .

Yes, yak .

The yak is an animal that lives in the mountainous regions of Central Asia, such as Tibet and Mongolia. They are accustomed to living in extreme conditions, and so their fur is naturally equipped to withstand the most intense cold. The fiber obtained from them is warm, light, and exquisitely soft .

It is Fingering weight, comes in 50-gram balls, and yields approximately 200 meters . It has a spongy texture that is pleasant to the touch, with good stitch definition.

I'm knitting a Sophie Scarf with this yarn, and the experience has been truly delightful. The softness is something you can feel in every stitch, and it makes knitting a very enjoyable experience.

Another thing I fell in love with was their color palette . There are seven very special shades , all with a darker grain that comes from the yak fiber. This small contrast gives each color a unique character and beautiful depth. It's a sober, elegant palette with a lot of presence .

You can see all the colors available in the online store by clicking here , or if you prefer to see and touch it in person, I'll be with Iaque this weekend at Expo Teje , April 12 and 13 at Centro Parque .

If you don't have your ticket yet, here's the link to buy it:

And if you can't buy online, they'll also be available on-site during the event.

I look forward to sharing this and other news with you!
A hug,
Tasting
