Fittonia Sweater is a raglan sleeve sweater knitted with a fancy knit. It is knitted in a circular motion from top to bottom and without seams. To raise the back of the neckline, work some Short German Rows at the same time as starting the raglan increases. When the raglan increases are finished, the sleeves and body are separated, which are knitted in a circular shape.
The approximate yarn yardage per size corresponds to the measurements of the finished garment listed in the table. If you make changes, or if you use a yarn with very different characteristics than the one used in the sample, the amount of yarn may vary. The sample is woven using two strands together. In my case, I used a DK weight strand of merino wool with silk, and another lace weight of kid mohair with silk, (Balada and Aurora , respectively, both from the Rosarios4 brand). If you are looking for alternatives, I suggest a yarn, or combination of yarns, that is lightweight and creates a lightweight fabric. You can check this when making your gauge sample.
The pattern is available in 9 adult sizes. The sweater I'm wearing in the photo is a size 3, with 14 cm/5.5 in of looseness. For reference, I am 170 cm/5 ft 7 in tall and my bust circumference is 96 cm/38.5 in.
BASIC INFORMATION
Sizes: (1, 2, 3) [4, 5, 6] {7, 8, 9}.
Measurements of the finished garment: (87, 98, 109) [120, 131, 142] {153, 164, 171} cm bust circumference approximately.
Recommended ease: between 7 cm and 15 cm positive ease.
To choose your size, you must add the desired ease to the actual measurement of your bust and then look in the table for the measurement that is closest. For example: if your bust measures 86 cm, you should knit size 2 which has a final measurement of 98 cm (with 12 cm of positive ease).
Gauge: 22 stitches x 28 rows (10 cm) with the main needles in the fancy stitch, worked in a circular motion and blocked.
Suggested needle size: 4mm/US 6 main circular needle, or whatever you need to obtain the required gauge. 3.25mm/US 3 circular needle (or three sizes smaller than main needle) for knitting neck, body and sleeve ribs. The length of the needle cable can vary as needed.
